End-of-life care and palliative care are often used interchangeably, but they are slightly different in their focus and scope.

Palliative care is a type of care that is given to patients who have a serious illness, regardless of whether they are at the end of their life or not. The goal of palliative care is to improve the patient's quality of life by relieving symptoms, managing pain, and addressing emotional and spiritual needs.

In our care home setting, palliative care is provided to resident who have a chronic illness or condition that requires ongoing management. This is provided by our team of healthcare professionals, nurses, and support staff.
